The Biker in me...

So when I was younger I used to go on bike camps every summer and basically spent 2 weeks straight on my bike. I always loved the feeling of just getting on your bike and not really knowing where it takes you. So today I thought why not ceize the day - 34 degrees after all - and get on a bike and take a tour through the surrounding villages. Since I was a bit afraid of getting lost though I lured my brothers into accompanying me by promising them that we would stop at the first ice cream shop we come across. I just love this heat wave. And I love spending quality time with my siblings. They're just cute as buttons and I adore them to pieces. Tomorrow I'll take them to the nearest lake since it will be 37 degrees (outside the sun mind you!). Gosh summer truly is the best season after all!

Als ich noch kleiner war fuhr ich jedes Jahr auf ein Fahrrad Camp mit meinen Kusinen. Dort haben wir dann praktisch immer 2 Wochen auf unseren Fahrrädern verbracht und sind durchs Burgenland gefahren. Ich war immer fasziniert von dem Gefühl nicht eindeutig zu wissen wo man landet sobald man sich mal entschließt einfach drauf los zu fahren. Also ergriff ich heute bei 34 Grad im Schatten mal die Möglichkeit mich auf ein Rad zu schmeißen und benachbarte Dörfer abzufahren. Da ich aber dann doch Angst hatte irgendwie die Orientierung zu verlieren hab ich meine Brüder damit bestochen mich zu begleiten, indem ich versprochen habe beim erstbesten Eissalon stehen zu bleiben. Sommer ist halt wirklich die beste Jahreszeit und die Hitzewelle kommt mir genau recht. Morgen gehts dann mit den Kleinen zum See nachdem wir 37 Grad erwarten und man hier in Norddeutschland ja nie sicher sein kann wann die Hitze wieder vorüber ist! Zeit mit der Familie zu verbringen ist das Beste!

Summer Skincare Routine

1. Origins Cleanser: I got this from my Glossybox and I must say I really dig this. Since my Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions foam got used up I've been using this and it's just as gentle and really gets the job done without irritating or drying out my skin.
2. Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions moisturizer: I've been obsessing over this. I really don't get how people say this is not moisturizing or rich enough. I absolutely love this thing and my skin always feels as nourished as it should be after applying this stuff plus it really does help me with occasional breakouts.
3. Eucerin mattifying sunscreen SPF30 Face: I never go without sunscreen during summer especially. I got this fluid also from my Glossybox and I can highly recommend it. It is light as air, does not clog pores, does not give you a shiny complexion and protects skin perfecty. 
4. Alterra Grape & White tea eyecream: The skin around my eyes has been showing signs of dryness ever since I've moved to Sweden and this one has helped me a lot plus it also has some Hyaluron fillers to remove fine wrinkles caused by excessive dryness around the eye area.
5. The Body Shop Vitamin E face mist: I love this stuff on hot summer days. I use it as an in between refresher, especially immediately after sunbathing when I feel like my facial skin could use some moisture. And it smells divine!
6. I love Coconut & Cream lipbalm: In summer I am always obsessed with coconutty smells and this one really smells delicious and also prevents my lips from chapping. A complete must and I never go anywhere without lipbalm.
7. Eucerin Hyluron Filler face cream: I got this from Nina who received it in her Glossybox and has no use for it. I like it because it is really rich and moistures my skin perfectly after being exposed to sunlight an entire day. However, as it is so rich, I use it only every other night (even though it is a day cream) and in between I use my Tea Trea night lotion from The Body Shop that I've already been praising in earlier posts.

Free Spirit

During summertime I loooove flowy dresses, kaftans or kimonos so for me it was a no-brainer to get this lovely "coat" thingy from H&M. They had it in lilac leopard print or neon yellow...hard decision. I can already tell that this one will accompany me throughout this summer. I just love hippie chic for summers which is kind of a departure from my fall/winter monochromatic style. Anyways, landed in Vienna and have the pleasure of spending 2 lovely days with my bestie Nina before I'll attend a big bday bash on Saturday. Sunday will be dedicated to chilling and "recovering" from partying 2 nights a row (u know, I am gettin old haha) and on Monday I'll be back in Germany. And in between all that my internship interview. Lots of stuff happening these days....

Im Sommer liebe ich weite Flatterkleider, Kaftans und Kimonos, daher war es auch gleich klar dass ich mir dieses lila Teil von H&M kaufen musste. Es gab den Kimono auch noch in Neon Geld was die Entscheidung nicht leichter machte, die 25% von H&M allerdings schon :-) Jedenfalls weiß ich schon jetzt dass dieser mich diesen Sommer überallhin begleiten wird! Generell bin ich bei warmen Temperaturen farbenfroher gestimmt und lege mehr einen Hippie chic an den Tag, abseits meines allwinterlichen monochromatischen, meist schwarzen Kleidungsstil. Wie auch immer, gestern in Wien gelandet, die nächsten 2 tage verbringe ich mit der Besten bevor es Samstags zu einer großen Geburtstagsparty von 2 engen Freunden geht. Ich bin schon richtig aufgeregt. Sonntags ist dann der Regenerierung gewidmet da ich ja schließlich Freitag und Samstag am feiern bin und auch nicht mehr jünger werde haha Montags gehts dann wieder nach Deutschland. Ach ja, zwischen alledem hab ich natürlich auch mein Jobinterview. Ich bin gespannt. Jedenfalls wird mir in den nächsten Tagen bestimmt nicht langweilig....

Flower Power

I think we can all agree that Spring/Summer is the best. The colors, the smell, the warmth on your skin. Just LOVE! These pics were taken in my mom's garden. And the first picture shows a drawing done by my little sister which basically just says "Vicky+Peninna=sisters" :-) I love my life!

Ich denke wir sind uns alle einig das Frühling/Sommer einfach am Besten sind. Die Farben, der Gerüch in der Luft, die Wärme auf der Haut wenn die Sonne scheint. Einfach herrlich! Die Bilder habe ich im Garten meiner Mutter geschossen. Das erste Bild zeigt eine Zeichung die meine kleine Schwester mit Straßenmalkreide gemacht hat. Ich hab sie sooo lieb :-)
